For a few days Kipling's jungle tales will come alive as you search for the mighty Indian one horned rhinoceros, magnificent but elusive Royal Bengal tiger, sloth bear, spotted deer, wild boar and leopard. For bird lovers an early morning walk by the Rapti river provides an opportunity to be shown birds such as the giant hornbill, lesser florican and paradise flycatcher.

The twin bedded lodges are built in the local style with a thatched roof and whitewashed mud walls; a picturesque and practical combination. A large central wood-fire heated lodge provides the venue for eating and pleasant relaxation between or after other activities. To complete the atmosphere all lighting is provided by kerosene pressure lamps. A simple but extremely comfortable lifestyle.
